The main profile of Debrecen University Press (DUPress) is publishing and widely disseminating peer-reviewed notes, e-notes, technical books of all 14 faculties of the University, as well as producing electronic publications, and developing and operating the related services.
DUPress operates in accordance with the Publishing Regulations of the University of Debrecen. Its advisory and decision-making body is the University Library and Publishing Committee, it is a member of the Association of Hungarian Publishers and Book Distributors, and it has a professional standard recognized by the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA).
We have been present in the Hungarian book market since 1995, our predecessor is the Kossuth University Publishing House. We are responsible for the quality of the notes provided to the students, and for promoting the work of the academic staff and researchers.
We provide support to UD Faculty/ Staff and Students in the open access scholarly publishing by offering regulated publishing opportunities. Furthermore, we are active participants in University’s Talent Management Program (DETEP).
Our webshop offers a selection of almost 1000 copies of notes and technical books. DUPress is committed to long-term availability of published works: if a title is sold out, it is possible to order a copy via our Print on Demand service.
